About Gerlan Consulting
Based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Gerlan Consulting is owned and operated by Rachael McGann. Rachael has worked extensively at the senior executive level which has included Regional General Manager and Head of HR roles with top listed organisations such as Computershare Ltd and Dana Corporation as well as an executive HR management role with the ANZ Bank. Rachael has significant international experience with direct responsibility for Oceania, Asia-Pacific and EMEA and special assignments including restructuring an HR function in the UK and as HR Lead in due diligence / acquisition in multiple countries.
With experience in a wide range of industries, including Retail, FMCG, manufacturing, financial services and consulting, Rachael has also spent a number of years as an industrial relations and a remuneration and benefits specialist, both in-house and with the expert consulting group Cullen Egan Dell (now Mercer).
With a reputation as an HR practitioner with a pragmatic and strategic approach to people management, coupled with the operational expertise for driving and implementing change in order to improve people performance and bottom line results,. As a result, Rachael firmly believes that engaging, developing and retaining excellent people represents one of the key competitive advantages to any Organisation.
Rachael's Qualifications
- The University of Melbourne (1997) - Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources & Industrial Relations.
- Deakin University (1991) - Bachelor of Business (Personnel Administration). Full-time, then Part-time while working.
- Extensive Professional Development - Employee/Industrial Relations, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Leadership Development (various), Financials and Cost Analysis, Risk management etc
